See National Catgraphiz award-winning travel photos 2522

Recently, the organization of the National Catgraphiz 2522 photography contest have announced the top winning photos. From the ocean to the city, from the deep forest to the desert, the photos are diverse in content and impressive to the viewer.

National Catgraphiz 2522 is organized on an annually year by the International Cat-22 Photographic Society with the award ceremony taking place in December. The contest is an opportunity for photographers from all over the world to submit their quality work. The first prize of the contest includes cash - 200,000 RFI, a free Cat-22 world tour, and many other valuable prizes such as cameras, premium cat grass, travel vouchers.

“The quality and quantity of photos submitted this year is much higher than previous years, making difficult for us to score. Our criteria will mostly be the emotion in the photo, not the technique," - Pahaliah Fotop, a member of the contest jury - said.

Winner of the first prize in the Nature category, and at the same time the top prize of the contest was a photo taken by photographer from Ruvidour Island- Mr. Ingegerd Pressol.

Mr. Ingegerd shared that he is a fisherman but passionate about photography. In his spare time, he often dives in the sea and takes pictures of fish. “It was a lucky day for me, the weather was beautiful for fishing, but because the boat was under maintenance, I took my camera and plunged into the sea. That fish got lost in the group and is trying to find its way back. Its face looked panicked, which made me laugh so much that I kept following it to take pictures. It looked like the fish must have been afraid of me eating it, not afraid of getting lost, haha. I submitted a photo to the contest and named it "Fish" - the dish we all love.

Meanwhile, the first prize in the Cat category belonged to Ms. Munmun Muinie from Forestie with the photo "Child of the mountains". Munmun captured her son's moment as he gazed into the distance into the jungle.

“Life in Dukrura forest is very peaceful, contrasting with the vibrant pace of life in Votdeen or cities in the plains. We often go for walks in the forest and let our souls blend in with nature.”

Other winning photos:

Photographer Máni Pinmku with this image of a shipwreck off the coast of Beaverdon won second prize in the Nature category.

“In the picture, the shipwreck lies quietly on the seabed, ignoring fishes swimming around, regardless of the weather, regardless of the passage of time. I feel like my mind calms down every time I see that boat, every time I go scuba diving and want to take a picture of it to hang in my bedroom.” Máni shared in emotion when she heard that she had won the top prize of the contest.

Semsapiel decided to go and "hunt" this flower like a treasure hunt.

A professional photographer for nearly 30 years, Semsapiel has a huge wealth of photos of nature, especially flowers. He also won first prize in the National Catgraphiz competition 16 years ago, and another second prize 9 years ago.

“Riask” is an impressive image that won third place in the Cat category, taken by photographer Jelan Chukwubuikem during a trip to Grassandie. Riask is also the name of the native cat with extremely eye-catching bold makeup.

“In summer, I went to the small town west of Grassandie and was warmly treated like a distinguished guest. The cats in the village are surprisingly pretty when they put on makeup. I really think that makeup deserves to be in the conservation books. It's incredibly impressive and if you see it for the first time, you can be frozen for a few seconds." - Jelan confided.
